George has been a member of the Sussex County Bird Club since its second meeting in 1953, so it’s fair to say he’s one of the most knowledgeable birders in the club.

George, a bird carver who has traveled extensively and presented programs to a wide variety of groups, will be sharing one of his films, “Aged in the Wood”, in memory of Jim Zamos. This was Jim’s favorite of all George’s films.

For five years, George filmed the interrelationship of the beaver and other wildlife with the forests of northern NJ. The viewer will be “placed“ at the edge of a forest pond (a “ringside seat”) to view all the birds and wildlife .

Please join us for George’s engaging stories and a look at the wildlife of this rich habitat in our county.
