Wade and Sharon Wander will lead a field trip to Wallkill National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, August 29.

Birds, butterflies, and anything else we can identify will be on the menu.

Meet at 9:00 at the Liberty Loop trail on Oil City Rd. in Vernon.  We will walk the entire 2+ mile loop (a level, easy walk).  No restrooms at this location.

Nearest restrooms are at the Refuge headquarters in Wantage, on County Rte. 565  about 1.5 miles north of its intersection with Rte. 23 (for GPSing, 1547 Rte. 565, Sussex, NJ).

Bring the usual sunscreen, hat, insect repellent, your favorite hydration beverage, and lunch.

Leaders will have a spotting scope, but additional ones would be helpful.

Trip will not run in the event of rain.
